Failing Marriage - What Are The Reasons?

January 11th, 2010

I reckon you’ll want to read this as well: Failing Marriage

The most beautiful aspect of marriage is the union of two completely different souls. By the bondage of marriage, they are expected to live a full life with a unique vision of their own that can help them to enjoy life’s happiness as well as the bitter moments it will offer. The two individual souls are two distinct personalities, complementing one quality with the other.

Maintaining a marriage is a hard working process, where both the partners have to sacrifice some thing to achieve a continued pleasure. You make the world happy with the help of your spouse, pass wonderful times, bring in children and rear up them to make it a whole some affair. The ground of every successful marriage is a human link, a connection nurtured with respect and compassion for each other.

The basis for the success of every relation is a connection that is fully respected and taken care of. There is a good deal of sacrifice demanded of each other to make your life happy. Maintaining this atmosphere is an uphill task.

Divorce has clouded the marriages of many couples these days. Not only the spouses are affected, but it is the children who will have to pay the heavy price for their parents’ disturbed relation. There are many reasons that are cited for the increasing number of separation cases that has grown up to a stage that it is treated ‘just natural’.

If you think with neutrality, you will find that there is a definite possibility to make a tinted married life back once again on the wheels of peaceful co-existence. A relation which has reached the edge of divorces can be put back to normalcy once again if one of the partners is willing honestly to perform a little bit of hard work for the sake of it. It is mending of some attitudes that will bring back the vehicle on the road once again. Forget divorce and save marriage

The one major point of rift between the couples is the individual ego. This ego problem will have to be sacrificed by both the partners. If one partner desires to be right all the time and the other wrong, the situation is sure to deteriorate further as there will be loss of mutual respect for each other. This condition will ultimately wash off all the positive feelings for one another and will create emotional frustration.

Hard work is in terms of changing oneself in the first place. Changing one’s attitude and acknowledging that not only you exist in the world, but your partner too requires immense effort. What happens generally is that most of the people on finding that their partner does not suit their temperaments will go for the quick exit option that divorce often is.

Marriage involves the willing submission of one’s ego. You are no longer alone. You have to take care of your partner as your own self. In that case, you will accept the other person’s interests too and not just yours. This is the key to all successful marriages. If couples are ready to work honestly in this domain of their interaction, even the most contentious of relations will improve.
